As I mentioned yesterday, Silas is always a sticky mess.
This morning he said (after a biscuit and honey with breakfast)
"washcloth please, mommy!"
" you have sticky hands bud?"
"yes", with his devious grin. "sticky, but delicious!!"
I've said many, many times that Si is by far the messiest eater we've had. Pancakes are a regular weekend breakfast for us but I'm beginning to think we might need to change that. Here's why:
Can you see the beads of syrup in his hair? and up his nose? And he's been known to take the pancake plate and wear it as a hat...sticky side moshed in his hair of course.
For our far away families to keep up with the gang, and so that I can look back at all the fun of life with 3 kids :) This is my rememberer. We are: Mason (20), Ella (12), Silas (9), Dad/Justin (old), Mom/Christa (older)
Words to Live by...
“The biggest mistake I made [as a parent] is the one that most of us make. . . . I did not live in the moment enough. This is particularly clear now that the moment is gone, captured only in photographs. There is one picture of [my three children] sitting in the grass on a quilt in the shadow of the swing set on a summer day, ages six, four, and one. And I wish I could remember what we ate, and what we talked about, and how they sounded, and how they looked when they slept that night. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less” Anna Quindlen (Loud and Clear, 2004)
Mom of three, wife, sister, friend. Love being with family and friends, having a cup of coffee with sunrise and a glass of wine with sunset. Life is Good.
