We always thought that we were the champions, but this makes it official - this trophy seals the deal...at least for this year.
The Bulls hosted a chili cook-off last night. There were 8 neighborhood families that entered. There were 3 judges and the chili was scored based on taste, consistency, color and aroma. There was also a popular vote rated by all attendees. We won 1st, the Wendels placed 2nd and the Mascos got the popular vote.
Now that there is a trophy involved, I think the competition will heat up for next year. Everyone will want the coveted prize on their mantle!It was a ton of fun and the leftovers were great for lunch today!

I will not be able to keep with competiveness so this is probably our last win
Always wondered what happened with the chili cook off. I don't think Netter has forgiven me yet for not voting for her chili the year we came.
Cool that it's now a neighborhood thing. What a great way to bring everybody together.
